Sorry to hear that, but I understand it's a waste of energy to run the PC if people aren't playing. Maybe you could just run it once in awhile on weekends?

i realll really hate to see it go after all we still need to attract more player to our game! i have played hundreds if not thousands of games on this server and cb, ... it was a fine run and i played some great games here and i hope someday it'll be brought back up!

Hi Tankers...are ANY servers available now?...Ive been trying hard...have downloaded all kinds of stuff and nothing is making any kind of sense to me...guess I'm too old to ever be computer literate...any help at all will be GREATLY appreciated...thanks....Tim Dolen

Well, after considering all that want me to keep the server up, ill do it especially after the latest threatening email for a certain someone who will come up here and put it up for me if i don't.

The best reason I have to put it up is because we may be getting lots of exposure from a guy I did some work for who is a great marketer, and runs a gaming co. His business is making other business profit. I think he can help us a lot. He is also a gamer and is interested in trying Think Tanks. Make him welcome if you see him on the fields. He will probably go by Mr.RP

this is the better of the two tbm servers. Keep it up please.

map request:
I can't remember the map name. I believe you made it within the last year or so and had it up for several months. Only way to describe it is a green map with a long thin plateau in the center where the gate was. On each side of the plateau was a valley area and behiind each valley area were other plateaus. Hmm that could be one of about 30 differnent maps eh?

Well, I thought id run the server for the weekends but thats just not going to work either. I keep seeing players talk about my serer being laggy and no one wants to stay in there. I'm not sure what the heck is going on with Phobiks master server but my server obviosly does not run right on it. The last 3 years on the real master it held 10 players with little complaints. I never heard so many complaints as I do now. It will remain down now for good. Sorry to those that liked it and did not lag on it.

Even when I lagged, it was still a good little server... Hard to find any players these days, let alone any servers. 3 evenings in a row last week, I logged on and no one was there.

There is no connection between the master server and the player once one is playing. That is why one can use the IP JOINER script because all the master does is point the player in the right direction. It is like a webpage. The master server has nothing to do with lag whatsoever. Did you know the machine GG ran the master server was a really old computer located in an office closet?

Here is an image explaining the process between the master server, the player, and a private game server.

Once again, the master server has nothing to do with any lag. All lag is user based from either the hoster of the private server (i.e. CB's LUSH BM, DASH BASH, rootation, PHOBIKs Stock Tree) or the actual player.

For example when a player is having lag in a server, it could be poor internet connectino from the person hosting the server or perhaps poor internet connection that the user has... but NOT from the Master Server.

I hope this clears up some things.........

does Phobik's server act as the routing server as well as a game server? Just wondering..was playing with Phob either sat or sun and everyone lagged at the same time. Phob mentioned he'd have to look into to it.

(I believe I told you) I knew to tell them to look into there closet for the box serving the master from previous converstations i had with them when the master was down. As far as my server, there were some complaints when It had 12 players but few when it had 10. Now all of a sudden its not good enough for players to stay in. I'm just saying its not the same for what ever reason and my end has not changed.

Well, if that's the final word my TT days are likely done. There are exactly two servers where I don't get disconnects once a minute or so, yours and Rooscrumodz. I've pretty much lost all interest in scrum of any sort (it just isn't as fun for me as TBM) so Rooscrumodz is out and phobiks TBM server doesn't cut it for me. IDK the problem, I've got a great ping, great FPS in phobik's, but a 3 or 4 second disconnect every minute. That doesn't work out so well when you're facing down another tank.

I'm also more than a little frustrated with the lack of interest people have exhibited in going after ownership of the intellectual property rights particularly since I've offered to donate time towards doc prep and legal review.

I love this little game too so this sucks. Thanks for hosting as long as you have CB and thanks to all for teaching me how to shoot over the last year and a half or so.

CB. Thanks for running the server for so long, setting up this webpage that never goes down, and being around for so damn long.

My server comp finally became unstable. I don't know if I can keep mine up anymore as well. I'll tinker with it and see if I can get it up and going this weekend if I have time.

I'll still pop in a play occasionally as long as there is a server around. I'll also launch a server on occasion and play some scrum. With super uberbots. It's a sad substitute for a good online game but it's pretty much all we've got left.

Please don't give up on TT , I'll probably run my server some nights, or weekends as I have pretty poor firerate latly at Phobs also. Stick around we need all the players we can get.

Just as FYI, your server isn't showing up for me all of the time, I have to hit refresh 3-4 times befor it pops up.

Hi im feckle beckles used to play TT but laptop with TT on it crashed hate to be neusince or how ever you spell nusince but could someone tell me wat this sad page is about cos isnt TT sposed to be a happy fun game

CB's stock lush has been running 24/7 since Dash took his TBM down(maybe 4 years ago). There have been a couple times i took it down for a short time but put it back for some players that count on it for there firerate. It will go down from time to time if GG master is not running.
