Follow phobic's instructions and install this command in your prefs and you'll be fine until the GG master is back up.

Hi everyone,

I have created a master server. I have been testing it throughout the day and no bugs so far...so I ask everyone to do the following:

Go to your ThinkTanks folder, and navigate to game/client..
IF YOU'RE ON VISTA/7, CLICK THE COMPATIBILITY BUTTON AT THE TOP:


Open the prefs.cs and find the following:

$pref::Master0 = "2:master.garagegames.com:28002";

Under it..insert the following:

Code:
$pref::Master1 = " 2:65.39.236.105:28001";


So it should look like:

$pref::Master0 = "2:master.garagegames.com:28002";
$pref::Master1 = " 2:65.39.236.105:28001";


Once you've done that, save it and close. Then, delete the prefs.cs.dso.

If you're a hoster, make sure to restart your server when you apply these changes.

This will not replace the Garage Games master server..it will only use mine if it can't connect to GarageGames.

I am hosting this from a data center as well, so it will run well (even though it doesn't really need that much of a connection).

Well, I was, then today came.

My wife told me we had a virus on the one pc in the house that is somewhat useful for playing TT, my 5 yo Toshiba laptop. I couldn't fix it so I had to wipe the HD (TT was really the only thing I had on it) and restore factory settings. Went to gamecentersolutions.com to redownload and bam!!! 404 error, no more TT. My wife's conspiracy to force me to stop playing I think.

I have it on a desktop and a laptop (both more than 8 yo) but they suck and the jerkiness of the graphics gives me an awful headache in under 20 minutes, so I can't use them.

Unless someone knows, and can tell me, how I can transfer the files from a windows xp or vista pc to barely useful vista laptop, I'm out.
