The best close up is the speedy. The bounce back is good as well but takes much practice to make it really effective.
From long distance, speedy wins again - as well as area effect. Very good.
Really the best think is to develop your aim, your ability to evade shots, and then use powerups as part of a game to enhance, not replace, those things that you have down in your gameplay.
To do this, avoid power ups initially. Get your game down - your accuracy, sniping, driving and evasion of shots. Hope that helps!
^ The reason Supra says speedy is the best for close up battels is because speedy is the only power-up without a splash effect. Area is very easy to hit yourself with in close combat, and bounceback isn't much better. Speedy is simply regular bullets that go faster and deal more damage, no splash effect to them. Therefore, speedy is best in close-combat.
Aha! The fat man's here, to noone's surprise. In any case, i do believe you are wrong Player. Undeniably, they have the most power per bullet. However, they have a 3-bullet round, meaning an expert could time it precisely to come out and hide in-between those short rounds, rendering that useless. In truth, the best bullet is only as good as the person who guides it (although the speedy still beats all).
