Also are you on a system that has a router?
1.Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3 --------------------------------------------- Dell Inspirion 1545 Pentimum(R) Dual-Core CPU T4200 @ 2.00GHz 2.00, 1.96 GB of RAM Physical Adress Extension
2.Garage games 3.C:\Program Files\BraveTree\ThinkTanks 3.Yes, Linksys Wireless Broadband Router WRT54GS ver.6 (My router is not connected to my laptop, but is connected to my downstairs comp.)
ok ,, I have the same router. You may need to ask a parent to do this but to port forward that router you need to open a browser window, and in the address bar type, 192.168.2.1 and hit enter. A box will pop up and ask for a user name and password. In this box you use "admin" and "admin" and it will bring you to the router set up screen.
You need to be careful what you change in these settings.
The first thing you will want to do here is go to administration tab, and click on config management. Once in there click on the backup button and it will save a config file that can be restored to the router from the same config screen. Use this if you accidentally mess something up.
Next click on "Applications and Gaming" and the first tab there is port forwarding. He is a screenshot of mine.
Did it work? Check the "Master Servers" list found on the bottom of the main page on these forums. How are you launching your server? via the "create" button or with a .bat file from the folder "dedicated" found inside your main TT folder?
I go into Start>All Programs>TT>Dedicated Server. I think it works, when i launch the Server it shows a different number from the Master Server. But when i go to look, it says Timed Out--

Open your Think Tanks/game/server/pref.cs file. Scroll down to this line:
$Pref::Server::Port = 28000;
I start with 28000 and normally have to change through the progression 28001,,, 28002 28003 and so on after ,restarting the dedicated server.
After making the change to the pref.cs , make sure to delete the pref.cs.dso so the changes made are executed. It will regenerate a pref.cs.dso once the server is started.
HEY! I have an idea. Do you have TeamViewer? If you do, you can fix my server. www.TeamViewer.com But we need to be active at the same time... Do you have xfire/ Windows Messenger? My MSN:mikejr28@hotmail.com My XFIRE:kn0ck0ut12
